RACE COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER INFORMATION


Jacomo Sailing Club has the most active racing event calendar in the region and it's all because of our strong corp of volunteers who help out for all of our events.


Our Special Race events include the following:

Two annual distance races, springtime's "'Round The Lake" race and the "John Kling Memorial Transjac", our season wrapup event.

The Bernie P. Kuse Handicap Regatta is a members-only race where all boats are scored together using Portsmouth Handicapping

Our annual Cowtown Showdown Open One-Design Regatta is open to all dinghies in all classes and we welcome sailors from throughout the region


For our weekly Sunday Club Races, we need at least three volunteers from within our active racing fleets to run the day. All active club racers will be asked to step up at least once this summer.

For 2023, all active race participants are required to contribute at least one day to Race Committee duty.
